ಕකბಟಕ ฃಜ ඩಲರ ಆඃ๎ඝರ ಮൡ౨ ಅವರ ກಸคನย (කಗರತ౬ เ.ඩഔฯ) ಸ౽ბರದ ಅඌೕನ ౽ಯბದ๏ბ ಬ౯ ಂൽ ಮൡ౨ ಆಡัತ උರൕ ಇมಒ (฿ ඛಯಮಗำ - 2) GOVERNMENT OF KARNATAKA NO: DPAR 80 SDE 2024 Karnataka Government Secretariat, Vidhanasoudha, Bengaluru, Dated: 26.03.2025 NOTIFICATION Whereas the draft of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1957, was published as required by clause (a), sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) in Notification No. DPAR 80 SDE 2024, Dated: 25.02.2025, in Part IV A (P.R.No:118) of the Karnataka Special Gazette Dated: 25.02.2025 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby within fifteen days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Whereas, the said Special Gazette was made available to the public on 25.02.2025.
And whereas, no objections and suggestions have been received in this behalf by the State Government 4 Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) the Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules, namely:- RULES
1. Title and Commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 1st day of July
2022.
2. Amendment of Rule 5. - In the Karnataka Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1957 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 5, for subrule (3), and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-
(3) In the State Civil Services. -
(a) Group “A” shall consist of posts carrying the scale of pay of rupees 83700-1900- 85600-2300-99400-2700-115600-3100-134200-3500-155200 and above;
(b) Group “B” shall consist of posts carrying the scale of pay of rupees 65950-1650- 74200-1900-85600-2300-99400-2700-115600-3100-124900 and above, but below the scale of pay of rupees 83700-1900-85600-2300-99400-2700-115600-3100-134200- 3500-155200;
(c) Group “C” shall consist of posts carrying the scale of pay of rupees 34100-800- 35700-900-39300-1000-43300-1125-47800-1250-52800-1375-58300-1500-64300 - 1650-67600 and above; but below the scale of pay of rupees 65950-1650-74200-1900- 85600-2300-99400-2700-115600-3100-124900 but other than the posts specified in Schedule-IV; and
(d) Group “D” shall consist of posts specified in Schedule –IV and the posts carrying the scale of pay of rupees 27000-650-29600-725-32500-800-35700-900-39300-1000- 43300-1125-46675 and above; but below the scale of pay of rupees 34100-800-35700- 900-39300-1000-43300-1125-47800-1250-52800-1375-58300-1500-64300-1650- 67600
Explanation. - For the purposes of this sub-rule “scale of pay” means the revised scales of pay specified in respect of various posts in the Karnataka Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2024 and related orders.

3. Amendment of rule 9:- In the rule 9 of the said rules, in sub rule (2), -
(i) in clause (bb), for the words and figures “not less than rupees 90500 - 123300”, the words and figures “not less than rupees 144700 - 197200”, and for the words and figures “not more than rupees 56800-99600”, the words and figures “not more than Rupees “90200 -159200”, shall be substituted.
(ii) in clause (bbb), for the words and figures “less than Rupees 90500 - 123300”, the words and figures “less than Rupees “144700 - 197200” shall be substituted;
and
(iii) in clause (bbb-1), for the words and figures “pay scale of rupees 74400 -109600”, the words and figures “pay scale of rupees 118700 - 175200” shall be substituted.
4. Amendment of Rule 10:- In Rule 10 of the said rules, in sub rule (8), in clause
(10), for the figures “74400 - 109600” the figures “118700 – 175200” shall be substituted.
