In the said rules, after rule 13, as so renumbered, the following shall be inserted, namely:- “14. Return of original documents, conditional registration and etc.. .-
(1) The original documents submitted by candidates at the time of admission to postgraduate medical courses shall be returned by the concerned institutions in accordance with the applicable admission rules and shall not be linked to the completion of compulsory medical services.
(2) The candidates who have not yet discharged their obligation under the provisions of the Act, may be granted conditional registration by the Karnataka Medical Council, subject to the condition that such candidates shall undergo and complete the compulsory medical service as and when required by the Government under the Act and rules made there under.
(3) Since an undertaking/bond for compulsory service is obtained during counselling by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), no additional bond or No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Commissioner, Health and Family Welfare Services shall be required for the purpose of registration.” By order and in the name of Governor of Karnataka (PRADEEP KUMAR B S) Under Secretary to Government, Health and Family Welfare Department.
