(1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Educational Institutions (Change in the Governing Council or Change in the Location of Private Educational Institutions) Rules, 2006.

(2) These rules shall apply to the private educational institutions imparting primary, secondary and pre-university education.

(3) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
