In the Karnataka Excise (Distillery and Warehouse) Rules, 1967 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), after rule 4- C, the following shall be inserted namely:- “4-D. Shifting of the existing Distillery:- The Excise Commissioner may, on an application made by the licensee in Form 1-B and subject to payment of shifting fee equivalent to twenty five percent of the annual licence fee levied for grant of licence for a distillery under rule 7, permit shifting of the distillery from the existing place to another place."
