Section 3: Amendment of rule 2-AE

The Karnataka Excise (Excise Duties and Fees) (Amendment) Rules, 2022State Rules of Karnataka · 1965

In rule 2-AE of the said rules;-

(1) in sub-rule (1), – i. for the words “the brewery licensee”, the words “the brewery licensee or the Craft brewery licensee”, shall be substituted.

ii. for the words “Distillery, Brewery or Winery licensee”, the words “Distillery, Brewery, Craft brewery or Winery licensee” shall be substituted: and iii. for the words “Distillery or Brewery or Winery or Distributor licensee”, the words “Distillery or Brewery or Craft brewery or Winery or Distributor licensee” shall be substituted.

(2) in sub-rule (2), – i. for the words “Distillery, Brewery, Winery or a distributor licensee”, the words “Distillery, Brewery, Craft brewery, Winery or a distributor licensee” shall be substituted; and ii. in the existing proviso, for the words “Distillery/Brewery/Winery or Distributor licensee”, the words “Distillery/Brewery/ Craft brewery/Winery or Distributor licensee”, shall be substituted.

(3) in sub-rule (3), – i. for the words “Distillery, Brewery, Winery or a Distributor licensee”, the words “Distillery, Brewery, Craft brewery, Winery or a Distributor licensee” shall be substituted;

ii. under the explanation, in the proviso, for the words “Breweries”, the words “Breweries or Craft Breweries” shall be substituted.
