Section 8: Auxiliary Fire Force

The Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964.State Act of Karnataka · Act 42 of 1964

(1) Whenever it appears to the State Government that it is necessary to augment the Force, it may raise an auxiliary force by enrolment of volunteers 7 for such area and on such terms and conditions as it may deem fit.

(2) Every member of the auxiliary force enrolled under sub-section (1) shall,—

(a) receive a certificate in a form approved by the State Government;

(b) be vested with all or such of the powers, privileges and duties of a member of the Force as are specially mentioned in the certificate; and

(c) be subject to the orders of the Director.
