Section 104: Penalties for Contravention of Act or rules

The Karnataka Forest Act, 1963State Act of Karnataka · Act 5 of 1964

Any person contravening any provision of this Act or any rule made under this Act, for the contravention of which no special penalty is provided, shall, on conviction be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 1[six months]1 or with fine which may extend to 1[one thousand rupees]1, or with both:

Forest [1964: KAR. ACT 5 412 2[Provided that any person contravening any such provision relating to sandalwood, shall, on conviction, be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to five years and with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees.]2
