Section 115: Forest Officer not to trade

The Karnataka Forest Act, 1963State Act of Karnataka · Act 5 of 1964

(1) No Forest Officer shall, as principal or agent or in any other capacity, trade in timber or other forest produce, or be or become interested in any lease or mortgage of any forest, or in any contract for working any forest whether within or outside the 1[State of Karnataka]1.

(2) Whoever contravenes the provisions of sub-section (1) shall on conviction be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or with fine or with both.
