Section 68: Procedure as to perishable property seized under section 62

1[2[Subject to such rules as may be prescribed, the Forest Officer who made the seizure under section 62 or any other Forest Officer, may]2, notwithstanding anything contained in this Act or any other law, sell]1 any property seized under section 62 and subject to speedy and natural decay and may deal with the proceeds as he would have dealt with such property if it had not been sold 3[and shall report about every such sale to his official superior.]3
