Section 2: Amendment of rule 19

In the Karnataka General Provident Fund Rules, 2016 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 19, in sub-rule

(2) for the words “Treasury officer shall issue post dated cheque to the retiring subscriber as soon as the authorization is received by him without insisting on the personal appearance of the subscriber”, the words “concerned DDO’s or Heads of Department shall take necessary steps to credit the amount through E-payment or RTGS to the retiring subscriber’s Bank account, as soon as the authorization is received by him”, shall be substituted.
