Section 2: Definitions

The Karnataka Gram Swaraj and Panchayat Raj (Motion of No-confidence against Adhyaksha and Upadhyaksha of Zilla Panchayat) Rules, 2020.State Rules of Karnataka · 1993

(1) In these rules unless the context otherwise requires,-

(a) “Act” means the Karnataka Gram Swaraj and Panchayat Raj Act, 1993 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1993).

(b) “Equivalent Officer” means an officer equivalent to the Regional Commissioner Authorised in this behalf by notification the Government.

(c) “Form” means form appended to these rules; and

(d) “Section” means a section of the Act.

(2) Other Words and expressions used in these rules but not defined shall have the same meaning as assigned to them in the Act.
