Section 2: Definitions

In these rules unless the context otherwise requires.-

(a) "Continuous Service" means service of a work-charged employee from the beginning of his appointment continuously without any break. Only leave duly sanctioned by a Competent Authority will be included in continuous service;

(b) "Selection Committee" means the Selection Committees referred to in sub-rule (3) of Rule 3;

(c) "Work-Charged Establishment" means such establishment as is employed upon the actual execution as distinct from the general supervision of specific work or of such works of a specific project or upon the subordinate supervision of the Board labour, stores and Machinery in connection with such works or sub-works.
