In the Karnataka Ministers Salaries and Allowances Act, 1956 (Karnataka Act 5 of 1957), after section 3, the following new section shall be inserted, namely:- “3A. Reduction in salary and allowances.- Notwithstanding anything contained in the Karnataka Ministers Salaries and Allowances Act, 1956 (Karnataka Act 5 of 1957), Salary and Allowances payable to the Chief Minister, Minister, Minister of State and Deputy Minister shall be reduced by thirty per cent, for a period of one year commencing from the 1st April, 2020, to meet the exigencies arising out of Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic.” VAJUBHAI VALA GOVERNOR OF KARNATAKA By order and in the name of the Governor of Karnataka, (K.
