Section 14: Inter-caste marriage

The Karnataka Marriages (Registration and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1976.State Act of Karnataka · Act 2 of 1984

Each party to an inter-caste marriage shall, subject to such rules as may be prescribed, be eligible for grant of one thousand rupees and for such other facilities as may be prescribed.

Explanation.- 'Inter-caste marriage' means a marriage between two persons belonging to different religions or different castes of Hindus.
