Section 40: Chairman of the meeting and quorum

(1)The Sessions judge shall be the Chairman of the visiting Committee and in his absence members present at the meeting shall elect one amongst them selves to act as Chairman. The quoram for every meeting of the Visiting Committee shall be three”. (Amended under notification dated 4th June 1971).

40A. Non-Official members of the Visiting Committee,- Persons who are in the field of social work and who are interested in the establishment and administration of Borstal School and in the rehabilitation of young offenders released from a Borstal School may be appointed as non-official members of the Visiting Committee”,
