Section 5: Period of office of members

The Karnataka Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act, 1961State Act of Karnataka · Act 4 of 1962

(1) The members of the Council, other than the exofficio members specified in clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 3, shall hold office for a term of five years from the date of their election or nomination or until their 6 successors have been duly elected or nominated whichever is longer and shall be eligible for re-election or re-nomination, as the case may be.

(2) Any such member may at any time resign his appointment by letter addressed to the President of the Council.
