Section 16: Manner of training as a nurse, midwife, auxiliary nurse-midwife or health visitors for the purposes of section 19 (1) (b)

A person whose name has been entered in the list and who desires to practice as a nurse, midwife, auxiliary nurse-midwife or health visitor in the area referred to in section 19 shall not be permitted to practice under clause 9b) of sub-section (1) of section 19, as a nurse, midwife, auxiliary nursemidwife or health visitor, unless she produces a certificate from a institution signed by the Matron, Medical Superintendent or other responsible Officer of such institution that she has received the training as a nurse, midwife, auxiliary nurse-midwife or health visitor, as the case may be, in the manner specified in Schedule IX.
