Section 6: Supervision and Control of Pre-University colleges

The Director shall be responsible for the proper functioning of Pre-University colleges in the State. He shall ensure proper academic activity in the Pre-University colleges. The Director shall be responsible for implementation and adherence and compliance of these rules by all the Pre-University colleges by conducting periodical inspections of such colleges in accordance with section 57. The Director may be assisted by Joint Directors, Deputy Directors and Assistant Directors in discharging these duties. In every district, the Director shall also be assisted by a Deputy Director, who shall have the power to inspect Pre-University colleges and verify compliance to these rules.
