Section 8: Power to make Rules

The Karnataka Prevention of Animal Sacrifices Act, 1959State Act of Karnataka · Act 3 of 1960

(1) The State Government may, subject to the condition of previous publication, make rules by notification in the Official Gazette, generally for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of this Act.

(2) The rules made under this Act shall be laid, as soon as may be after they are made, before each House of the State Legislature, while it is in session for a total period of thirty days, which may be comprised in one session, or in two or more sessions, and if before the expiry of the said period, either House of the State Legislature makes any modifications in the rules or directs that the rules shall not have effect and the 4 modifications or directions are agreed to by the other House, the rules shall thereafter have effect only in such modified form or be of no effect, as the case may be.
