Section 30: Central Relief Fund

The Karnataka Prohibition of Beggary Act, 1975State Act of Karnataka · Act 27 of 1975

1[(1)]1 In order to carry out the purposes of this Act, a fund called the Central Relief Fund shall be formed. This Fund shall consist of,-

(i) subscriptions and donations;

(ii) grants from the Government;

(iii) the cess paid under sub-section (3) of section 31;

(iv) grants from local bodies, and other private or public institutions;

(v) fines recovered under this Act; and 11

(vi) receipts from other sources.

Re-numbered by Act 7 of 1982 w.e.f. 1.10.198 1[(2)The Central Relief Fund shall be administered by a Committee consisting of the Secretary to Government, Social Welfare and Labour Department who shall be the Chairman and the Director of Social Welfare and a representative of the Finance Department nominated by the Government who shall be the members of the Committee.

(3) Subject to such rules as may be prescribed, the Central Relief Fund shall be applied for such purposes and in such manner as may be decided by the Committee constituted under sub-section (2) from time to time.]1
