Section 36: Karnataka State Central Library]1

The Karnataka Public Libraries Act, 1965State Act of Karnataka · Act 10 of 1965

(1) As from the appointed day, the Public Library, Bangalore, shall be the 1[Karnataka State Central Library]1.

(2) (a) The 1[Karnataka State Central Library]1 shall be maintained as a reservoir of books and other materials for the proper functioning of the State Library system.

(b) In addition to a general library, the State Central Library shall consist of the following sections namely.-

(i) a State Bureau of Copyright Collections;

(ii) a State Library for the Blind;

(iii) a State Bureau of inter-library loans;

(iv) a State Bibliographical Bureau;

(v) a State Bureau of Technical Service;

(vi) such other sections as may be prescribed.
