(1) This Act may be called the 1[Karnataka]1 Silkworm Seed 2[Cocoon and Silk Yarn]2 (Regulation of Production, Supply, 2[Distribution and Sale]2) Act, 1959.

(2) It extends to the whole of the 1[State of Karnataka]1.

(3) 1[Sections 10 and 19]1 shall come into force at once in the whole of the 2[State of Karnataka]2 and the rest of this Act shall come into force at once in the areas of the State in which the Mysore Silkworm Seed (Control of Distribution) Act, 1952, is in force.
All or any of the provisions of this Act (except 1[sections 10 and 19]1) shall come into force in such other area or areas of the State on such 3[date or dates]3 as the Government may by notification specify.
