(1) Any person who contravenes the provisions of section 3 or 4 shall be punishable with fine which may extend to 1[2[one thousand]2 rupees]1.

(2) Any rearer who contravenes the provisions of 1[section 6 or clause (a) of sub- section (1) of section 7]1, shall be punishable with fine which may extend to 2[one 14 thousand rupees]2.

1[(2A) Any person who contravenes the provisions of clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 7 or sub-section (2) of that section shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to three months or with fine which may extend to 2[five thousand rupees]2 or with both.]1

1[(2B) Any person who contravenes the 2[provisions of section 5A or section 8A,]2 shall on conviction be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years and with fine which may extend to 3[twenty five thousand rupees]3:
