Section 15: Court competent to try offences under this Act and cognizance of offences

The Karnataka Silkworm Seed, Cocoon and Silk Yarn (Regulation of Production, Supply Distribution and Sale) Act, 1959State Act of Karnataka · Act 5 of 1960

(1) No court other than the court of Magistrate of the First Class shall take cognizance of any offence under this Act.

(2) No court shall take cognizance of 1[an offence other than a cognizable offence]1 under this Act except on a complaint in writing of an officer empowered by the Government in this behalf.
