Section 27: The Research and Innovation Council

Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence Act, 2018State Act of Karnataka · Act 17 of 2018

(1) Research and Innovation Council shall be the Principal Research and Innovation Committee of the University and shall provide the larger holistic vision of the kind of research to be undertaken by the University, including prioritization of the research areas. Research and Innovation Council shall, subject to the provisions of this Act, the Statutes, Regulations and the Rules, co-ordinate and exercise general supervision over the Innovation and Research policies of the University.

(2) The Research and Innovation Council shall consist of the following, namely:-

(i) The Vice-Chancellor – Chairperson

(ii) The Registrar (Administration) – Member

(iii) The Registrar (Evaluation) – Member

(iv) The Dean of Research & Innovation – Secretary

(v) The HODs of Research & Innovation - Members

(vi) Deans of all Faculties - Members; and

(vii) Such other members as may be specified in the Statutes.
