Section 27: GUARDIANSHIP OF MINORS

The Karnataka State Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 2021.State Rules of Karnataka · 1990

A Government Servant may not without the previous sanction of the Prescribed Authority, act as a legal guardian of the person or property of a minor other than his dependent.

Explanation: A dependent for the purpose of this rule means a Government Servant’s wife, children and step Children andGrandChildren and shall also include his Sisters, brothers, nephews and nieces if residing with him and wholly dependent upon him.
