Section 46: Penalty for breach of the provisions of the Act

The Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Drainage Board Act, 1973State Act of Karnataka · Act 25 of 1974

Whoever contravenes any provisions of this Act or of any rule or regulation or scheme made or scheme sanctioned thereunder, 1[or fails to comply with any order or direction lawfully given to him or any requisition lawfully made upon him under any of the said provisions]1 shall, if no other penalty is provided for such contravention, be punishable,-

1. Inserted by Act 45 of 1981 w.e.f. 1.10.1981.

(a) with fine which may extend to one hundred rupees; and

(b) in the case of a continuing contravention, with fine which may extend to fifty rupees for each day after the first during which the contravention continues.
