Section 15: Registrar

The Visvesvaraya Technological University Act, 1994State Act of Karnataka · Act 39 of 1994

(1) The Registrar shall be a whole time officer of the University appointed by the Vice-Chancellor with the approval of Executive Council from out of not less than three persons recommended by the Vice-Chancellor to the Executive Council for such period and on such terms as may be prescribed by the Statutes.

(2) The Registrar shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be prescribed by Statutes.

(3) In all suits and other legal proceedings by or against the University, the pleadings shall be signed and verified by the Registrar and all process in such suits and proceedings shall be issued to and served on the Registrar.
