Published in Part – III, Sec. 4 (page 3735-3736) Of Gazette of India dated 21-11-87 KHUDA BAKHSH ORIENTAL PUBLIC LIBRARY Patna-800004, the 1 st November 1987 No.KBL-4/3967 – In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (I) of section 28 of Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library Act, 1969 (43 of 1969), the Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library Board, with the previous approval of the Central Government, hereby makes the following regulations to amend the Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library Service Regulations, 1986, namely :-
1. (1) These regulation may be called the Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library Service (Amendment) Regulations, 1987.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In schedule-I to the Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library Service Regulations, 1986, -
(a) against serial number – I relating to the post of Director, in the entry under column 7, -
(i) after item (f) the following items shall be inserted, namely :- “(g) Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script”;
(ii) for the entry relating to experience the following entry shall be substitued, namely :- “At least ten year’s experience of administration or guiding research or of both in a recognised institution” ;
(b) against serial number 2 relating to the post of Deputy Director, in the entry under Column 7, -
(i) after item (c) the following item shall be inserted, namely:- “(d) Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script”,
(ii) for the entry relating to experience the following entry shall be substituted, namely :- “At least seven years’ experience of administration or guiding research or of both in a recognised institution” ;
(c) against serial number 3, relating to the post of Assistant Director, in the entry under column 7, -
(i) after item (b) the following items shall be inserted namely:- “Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(ii) for entry (b) the following entry shall be substituted, namely :- “(b) Five years experience of work with manuscripts;
(d) against serial number 5, relating to the post of Assistant Librarian, in the entry under column 7, after item (b) the following items shall be inserted namely :-
(c) “Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(e) against serial number 6, relating to the post of Library Assistant, in the entry under column 7, -
(i) for item (a) the following entry shall be substituted, namely :- “(a) At least second Class Master’s degree in Arabic/Persian / Islamics/medieval Indian History/Urdu or high academic qualifications in these subjects”;
(ii) after item (b) the following item shall be inserted, namely:- “(c) Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(f) against serial number 7, relating to the post of Khushnawees, in the entry under column 7, after item © the following item shall be inserted namely :- “(d) Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(g) against serial number 8, relating to the post of Scribe, in the entry under column 7, after item (b) the following item shall be inserted namely :-
(bb) Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(h) against serial number 9, relating to the post of Library Attendant, in the entry under column 7, after item (b) in the following item shall be inserted, namely :- “(c) Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script”;
(i) against serial number 10, relating to the post of Farrash, in the entry under column 7, after item (b) the following item shall be inserted, namely :- “(c) Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script”;
(j) against serial number 11, relating to the post of Administrative Officer, in the entry under column 7, after item EXPERIENCE the following item shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(k) against serial number 12, relating to the post of Stenographer, in the entry under column 7, after item (b) the following item shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(l) against serial number 13, relating to the post of Accounts Assistant, in the entry under column 7, after item relating to EXPERIENCE, the following item shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(b) “Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(m) against serial number 14, relating to the post of Accounts Clerk, in the entry under column 7, after item relating to EXPERIENCE, the following item shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(n) against serial number 15, relating to the post of Urdu Stenographer, in the entry under column 7, after item (c) the following shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(o) against serial number 16, relating to the post of Photo Assistant, in the entry under column 7, after item relating to EXPERIENCE, the following shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(p) against serial number 17, relating to the post of Typist, in the entry under column 7, after item (b) the following shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(q) against serial number 18, relating to the post of Driver, in the entry under column 7, after item relating to EXPERIENCE, the following shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(r) against serial number 19, relating to the post of Binder, in the entry under column 7, after item relating to EXPERIENCE, the following shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(s) against serial number 20, relating to the post of Mender, in the entry under column 7, after item (b) the following shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(t) against serial number 21, relating to the post of Peon, in the entry under column 7, after item (a) the following shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(u) against serial number 22, relating to the post of Orderly Peon, in the entry under column 7, after item (a) the following shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(v) against serial number 23, relating to the post of Cycle Peon, in the entry under column 7, after item (a) the following shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(w) against serial number 24, relating to the post of Darban in the entry under column 7, after item (a) the following shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(x) against serial number 25, relating to the post of Mali, in the entry under column 7, after item 9a) the following shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(y) against serial number 26, relating to the post of Sweeper, in the entry under column 7, after item (a) the following shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
(z) against serial number 27, relating to the post of Security Guard, in the entry under column 7, after item (a) the following shall be inserted, namely :- “DESIRABLE : Working knowledge of Perso-Arabic script” ;
