(1) The Land Improvement Loans Act, 1883 (Central Act 19 of 1883) and the Agriculturists Loans Act, 1884 (Central Act 12 of 1884) in their application to the Malabar district referred to in sub-section (2) of section 5 of the States Reorganisation Act, 1956, the Land Improvement and Agricultural Loans Act, 1094 (Travancore Act IX of 1094) and the Cochin Agricultural Improvement Loans Act, 1093 (IV of 1093), are hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, advances made before the commencement of this Act and costs incurred by the Government in respect of such advances shall be recovered as if the said Acts had not been repealed by this Act.
