Except as provided by or under this Act, no correction shall be made in the compensation roll after it has become final, provided that the Tahsildar may, at any time before the payment of the compensation, either of his own motion or on application filed by a person interested, correct any clerical or arithmetical mistake or any error arising therein from any accidental slip or omission only.
