(1) An officer authorised by the Government in this behalf shall, after the service of the notice under the proviso to sub-section (1) of section 3 11[or the publication of that notice under sub-section (2) of that section or after a resolution is passed by the Legislative Assembly under sub-section (1) of section 3A, as the case may be] and before the publication of the declaration under the said sub-section (1), prepare a complete inventory of all the properties of the cashew factory to which the notice relates, as on the date of service of the said notice or the date of publication of that notice, as the case may be.
(2) The officer referred to in sub-section (1) shall, for the purpose of preparing the inventory, have the power to enter the premises of the cashew factory and to require the occupier or any person employed therein to furnish such information as he deems necessary.
(3) Any person who is required to furnish any information under sub-section (2) shall be bound to furnish such information as is within his knowledge.
12[(4) In the case of the Cashew Factories which are originally leased or requisitioned and now in the possession of Kerala State Cashew Development Corporation, the inventory prepared originally shall be the inventory for all purposes.]
