( I) This Act rna y be called the Kerala Hackney Carriage Act, 1963.

(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala

(3) Th1s ~section and sectiOn 58 shall come into force m the whole of the State of Kerala at once. The 1emaming sections of this Act shall come mto force at once in the areas specified m the schedule and they shall come mto force in other areas of the State on such date as the Government may by notification in the Gazette appoint, and d1fferent dates may be appointed for different areas :

Provided that before issuing any such notification, the Govern­ ment shall pubhsh a notice of the proposal m the Gazette inviting objections thereto and consider any objections 1 cceived within the time spectfied therefor in the not1ce.
