Section 20: Restriction on use of land between building line and control line

The Kerala Highway Protection Act, 1999State Act of Kerala · Act 6 of 2000

Notwithstanding anything contained in any law for the time being in force, no person shall, except with the previous permission in writing of the highway authority,-

(a) erect or re-erect any building or structure or alter the level of land by lowering, raising, digging or filling up, or construct, form or lay out any means of access to a highway upon land lying in between the building line and the control line; or 12

(b) make any change in the use or purpose for which any building, constructed upon land in between the building line and the control line, was originally intended or authorized by the competent authority.
