The highway authority may, with the previous approval of Government, by notification in the Gazette, delegate any of its powers or duties under clauses (c) and (d) of section 8 or sections 11, 22, 23, 24 or 25 of this Act to any officer or authority subordinate to it, subject to such conditions, if any, as may be specified in such notification.
