Section 14: The manner of realizing cost from the defaulting owner

The Kerala Irrigation and Water Conervation Rules, 2005State Rules of Kerala · 2003

The Collector, or the Punja Special Officer or such other officer authorised by the Government, as the case may be, shall inform the actual cost of labour to the defaulting owner by means of a notice requesting him to remit the amount in the office of the Collector, or Punja Special Officer or such other officer authorised, as the case may be, within 60 days from the date of delivery of the notice. If the defaulting owner refuses or fails to remit the said cost amount within the time specified, the Collector shall initiate proceeding to realize the cost due from such defaulting owner in the same manner as if it were an arrear of public revenue due on land.
