Section 2: Definitions

The Kerala Irrigation and Water Conervation Rules, 2005State Rules of Kerala · 2003

(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,-

(a) “Act” means the Kerala Irrigation and Water Conservation Act, 2003 (31 of 2003), 1 [(b) “Authorized officer” means an officer authorized by the Government under sub-section (1) of section 4 ;

(c) “Form” means a Form appended to these Rules;

(d) “Prescribed authority” means the authority prescribed in rule 6 under subsection (1) of section 9;

(e) “Schedule” means a schedule appended to these rules;

(f) “section” means a section of the Act.]

(2) Words and expressions used and not defined in these rules but defined in 2 the Act, shall have the meaning respectively assigned to them in the Act.
