Section 12: Appeal

The Kerala Irrigation and Water Conservation Act, 2003State Act of Kerala · Act 31 of 2003

Any person aggrieved by an order of the Collector under sub-section

(4) of section 10 may, within ninety days from the date of receipt of the order, prefer an appeal to a committee constituted by Government in this behalf, in such form and in such manner, as may be prescribed, and the committee shall decide the appeal within a period of six months from the date of receipt of the appeal and its decision thereon shall be final:

Provided that the committee may admit an appeal preferred after the expiry of the said period of ninety days if it is satisfied that the appellant had sufficient cause for not preferring the appeal within that period, but in no case such appeal shall be admitted after the expiry of six months from the date of receipt of the order appealed against.
