(1) Distribution of water from all irrigation works constructed or maintained wholly or partly at the cost of Government shall be regulated by such rules or orders as may be made or issued by the Government from time to time.
(2) Distribution of water from irrigation works constructed or maintained at the cost of a local authority shall be subject to such regulations as may be made by that authority.
(3) An irrigation calender shall be published one month before the date of water distribution by the Water Resourses Department every year, and the same shall be formed or modified in accordance with the need and cropping pattern every year, in consultation with the beneficiaries and with the scientific assessment of the water available and demand.
