Section 25: Per~ons entitled to restoratton

( I) Where restoration of any land resumed Is ordered und("r section 23, the cultivating tenant shall hold the land directly under the landlord from whom restoration has been ordered, and the rights of the mtermedianes extinguiShed under sub-section (6) of section 22 shall not revive.

(2) Before such restoration, the cultivating tenant shall pay to the person who resumed the land-

(t) the amounts paid by such person to the cultivating tenant and to the intermediary, if any, towards the value of the improvements effected by them and existmg at the time of restoration ;

(u) the value of the improvements, if any, effected bona [tde by such person between the date of resumption and the date of the application ; and

(iit) any amount other than solatium received by the cultiva­ ting tenant from such person on account of the resumptiOn.

(3) The rent payable by the cultivating;tenant after the restor· ation of the holding shall be the fair rent.
