( I) Where the rent is payable in kind, it shall be paid either m kind or in money at the option of the tenant.
(2) Where the rent payable is the rent determined under section 31 calculated at the rates specified m Schedule III or the agreed rent determined under section 33 and such rent 1s payable in kind, the money value of such rent shall be computed with reference to the rates published in the Gazette under section 43 for the date on which the rent is payable and, if no rate IS published for that date, at the rate for ,..J the nearest previous date for which the rate IS so published : _,..__;
Provided that where in respect of any commodity the price has not been published in the Gazette, the money value of such commo dity shall be calculated at the market rate prevailing on the date on which the rent became due.
(3) The tenant shall be entitled to send by money order the rent payable by him to his landlord.
