Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in any law, or in any contract, custom or usage, or in any judgment, decree or order of court, any person who, on the II th day of April, 195 7, was continuously in occupation of the land of another situate in Malabar, for not less than two years, honestly believing himself to be a tenant and continued to be in occupation of such land at the commen cement of this Act, shall be deemed to be a tenant.
