Section 16: Disqualification from work

The Kerala Loading and Unloading ( Regulation of Wages and Restriction of Unlawful Practices) Act, 2002State Act of Kerala · Act 10 of 2002

Notwithstanding anything contained in the Kerala Head Load Workers Act, 1978 ( Act 20 of 1980) no worker, who has been convicted by a court of law for an offence under this Act, shall be given registration as a headload worker under the said Act for a period of six months from the date of such conviction or if he is a registered headload worker under 8 the said Act, his registration shall be suspended for a period of one year from the date of such conviction:

Provided that where the conviction is for a second or subsequent offence under this Act the period of disqualification shall be for two years.
