Section 18: Certain offences to be cognizable

The Kerala Loading and Unloading ( Regulation of Wages and Restriction of Unlawful Practices) Act, 2002State Act of Kerala · Act 10 of 2002

(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 the offences punishable under sections 12, 13 and 14 of this Act shall be deemed to be a cognizable offence within the meaning of that Code.

(2) No Court shall take cognizance of the offences referred to in sub-section (1) except upon a police report as provided in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
