Section 2: Extension of term of office of municipal councillors

The Kerala Municipal Councils (Extension of Term of Office of Councillors) Act, 1976State Act of Kerala · Act 9 of 1976

Notwithstanding anything contained in the Kerala Municipalities Act, 1960 (14 of 1961), the term of office of the councillors of all the municipalities constituted under the said Act, other than the Punalur, Chalakudy, Tirur and Malappuram Municipalities, which expires at noon on the 31st day of December, 1975, shall extend upto noon on the 31st day of December, 1976.
