( l) This Act may be called t lu~ Payment of Rajabhogam to Thekkemadom Swamiyar Mathapra1n \ .. 1holition) Act, 1980.

(2) It shall come into force 011. such date as the Government may, by nottfication in the Gazette, appoint.

2 . L)ejtnllz ons.-In this Act, unless the context otherwise • I ef)tllftS,-

(a) "appointed day" means the day on which this Act comes into force , (b} '(landholder" means a person holding any sanketham l"ncls and liable to pay Rajabhogam to the Mathapram ;

(e) "Mathapram" means the 1,hekkemadom Swamiyar Mat l1apram at rfrich ur ;

(d) «Rajabhogam', means the assessment on the sanketham lands, pnyable to the Thekkemadom Swamiyar Mathapram, whether cnlled ~1uppara or Etti1onnu ;

(e) "Sank~tham lands'' means the lands in the Manickantnngalnm village in the Abrvaye Tatuk of Ernakula1n District, in t~pt!Ct of v•hich Rajabhogam is payable to the Mathapram.
