2. Definitions.-In th1s Act, unless the context otherw1se reqUires,- ( a) "Corporat1on" means the Kerala State Road Transport CorporatiOn established under sectwn 3 of the Road Transport CorporatiOns Act, 1950 (Central Act 64 of 1950);
(b) "Pubhc Servtce C·Jmm1sswn" means the Kerala Public Serv1ce CommiSSIOn 3 Functions of the l'ublic Service Commission 111 reo, pect of services under the Corporation.-(!) The Corporation may consult the Public Serv1ce Comm!SS!on-
(a) on all matters relatmg to the methods of recrUit ment of the officers and servants of the Corporation other than the Ch1ef Executive Officer or General Manager and the Ch1ef Accounts Officer ,
(b) on the pnnc1ples to be followed m makmg appomtments by d1rect recrUitment of the officers and servants :..:,_ of the CorporatiOn other than the Ch1ef Executive Officer or r_;t-nerdl Manager and the Ch1ef Accounts Officu and on the su1tab1lity oi candidates for such appomtments
(2) Where the Public Serv1ce CommiSSIOn IS consulted on any matter under sub-sectwn (1 ), it shall be the duty of the CommiSSIOn to advise the CorporatiOn on that matter.
(3) In the case of any difference of opm10n between the Public Service CommiSsiOn and the CorporatiOn on any matter, the CorporatiOn shall refer the matter to the Govern ment and the deciswn of the Government thereon shall be ____ _!!t' naL Prov1ded that the Government, before takmg a deciSIOn ago.mst the adv1ce of the Public Serv1ce Comm1sswn, sh'all refer the matter to the Commis~10n. -~- 4 Power to make rules.-(1) The Government may, 111 consultatwn with the Public Serv1ce Comm1sswn and the CorporatiOn, make rules for carrymg out the purposes of th1s Act
(2) In particular, and without preJudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such rules may prov1de for- ' ' 7 il
(a) the procedure to be followed by the Corporation fur consultatiOn Wtth the Fubltc Service Com.ntsswn ,
(b) any matter whtch IS mctdental to or necessary Cor, the purpose of consultatiOn wtth the Public Service Com n!!SSlOn
(3) Every rule made under thts Act shall be latd, dS soon as may be after It IS made, before the Legislative A:>sembly whtlc It IS m sesswn for a total penod of fourteen days which may be compnsed m one sess10n or m two successtve sesswns and tf, before the exptry of the sess10n m whtch 1t i!, so laid, or the sessiOn Immediately followmg, the Legislative Assembly makes any modificatiOn m the rule or dectcles that the rule should not be made, the rule shall there,lfter have effect only m such modified form or be of no effect, as the case may be; so however that any such mod1ficat10n or annul ment shall be without preJUdice to the validity of anythmg previOusly done under that rule.
5 Repeal and sav.ing.-(1) The Kerala Commission (AdditiOnal FunctiOns) Ordmance, is hereby repealed.

(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anythmg done or any actwn taken under the said Ordmnnce shall be deemed to have been done or taken under thi~ Act as If this Act hucl commenced on the 17th day of December, 1 !:169 .
