Section 8: Payment of amount to the landowner to be full discharge

The payment of the amount specified in section 4 to a landowner and other persons entitled thereto in accordance with an order issued by the Settlement Officer under section 7 after it has become final, shall be full discharge of the liability of the Government for payment of such amount and no further claims for payment of any amount shall lie against the Government:

Provided that nothing contained in this section shall affect the liability of any person who may receive the whole or any part of the amount to pay the same to the persons lawfully entitled thereto.
