Section 1: Short title, extent commencement and duration

Kerala Stay of Eviction Proceedings Act, 1998State Act of Kerala · Act 5 of 1998

(1) This Act may be called the Kerala Stay of Eviction proceeding Act, 1998.

(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala.

(3) It shall come into force at once and shall cease to have effect on the expiry of one year from the date of such commencement.

* Received the assent of the Governor on the 30th day of March, 1998 and published in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 809 dated 29th May, 1998.
