Where in any case the grant of Thiruppuvaram is subject to any conditiOn or perfor· mance of any Seivice and where at any time before the appointed day 'the grantee has failed to comply with such condition or has ceased ·to perf01 m such serv1ce, the Thi1 uppuvaram in such case <hall be deem· ed to have lapsed with effect from the date of such failure to comply with the cond1t10n or from the date of such cessation of service.
